What's a Business Improvement District (BID)?
A BID is a defined area where businesses pay an additional tax or fee to fund projects within the district's boundaries. These projects are intended to improve the business environment and can include a variety of services and improvements, such as:
- Cleaning and Maintenance: Regular street cleaning, graffiti removal, and upkeep of public spaces.
- Security: Enhanced security measures, including additional police presence.
- Marketing and Events: Organizing promotional activities, events, and marketing campaigns to attract customers and tourists.
- Public Infrastructure: Improvements to sidewalks, street lighting, signage, and other infrastructure projects.
- Beautification: Landscaping, public art installations, and other efforts to make the area more attractive.
