Responsibilities

Our members provide critical care paramedic level EMS, fire suppression, hazardous materials response, technical rescue, fire inspection code enforcement, and public education for the City of Menomonie and eight surrounding townships.

History

The Menomonie Fire Department was founded in 1885 and continues a strong tradition of professional service to the citizens we’ve sworn to protect.

Staff

We are a combination department comprising 28 career members, 20 paid-on-call firefighters, and one administrative assistant.

We take great pride in our community and the support we’re given by its citizens. In turn, we work and train hard to maintain the trust built by those who have come before us.
