The City of Menomonie Community Development has funds to loan out to low and moderate-income households to make needed repairs to homes. These funds are also loaned to local landlords in exchange for an agreement to rent to low and moderate tenants at an affordable rate.
The City's Community Development funds are repaid back to the City when the borrower moves or when the unit ceases to be the borrower's principal place of residence. Loans to landlords are repaid on a monthly basis.
Home Sweet Menomonie is a City of Menomonie Program in partnership with the Community Foundation of Dunn County. Home Sweet Menomonie combines public, employer, and private contributions to create a no-interest, partially forgivable loan for down payment assistance to employees of participating businesses who wish to own homes within the City of Menomonie.
