The purpose of the Business Watch is to connect business owners, employees and community stakeholders with each other and with their local law enforcement. Meetings are held three times per year and feature presentations on topics relating to community and business safety.
Coffee with a Cop is a national initiative supported by The United States Department of Justice, Office of Community Oriented Policing Services that
aims to advance the practice of community policing through improving relationships between police officers and community members- one cup of coffee at a time. Menomonie has held multiple Coffee with a Cop events since the fall of 2015 at varying locations throughout the community.
The Menomonie Police Department is proud to be a part of Cops 4 Kids. Cops 4 Kids is the partnership between the Menomonie Police Department, Dunn County Sheriff’s Office, UW-Stout Police Department and community stakeholders. The mission of Cops 4 Kids is to better enrich the lives of children and families in need in Dunn County through positive interactions with Law Enforcement and targeted programs that allow them to obtain items that they need, such as the Shop with a Cop programs in August and December.
Law enforcement Explorer posts help youth to gain insight in to a variety of programs that offer hands-on career activities. For young men and women who are interested in the careers in the field of law enforcement, Exploring offers practical learning with lots of fun-filled, hands-on activities that promote growth and development of adolescent youth.

With the spirit of volunteerism, the mission of the Volunteers in Policing Services program is to assist the Menomonie Police Department in serving our community by providing and enhancing programs and services. Volunteers enhance public safety by helping the MPD maximize resources.

Traffic Tamers is a volunteer program that allows citizen volunteers to conduct speed watches in the community. It is designed to make the public aware of the safety hazards of speeding in neighborhoods and allow neighborhood residents to play an active role in solving their neighborhood speeding problems.
