AIRPORT COMMISSION COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION
Established June 6, 1988 oversees Menomonie Municipal Airport.  Composed of five citizen members appointed by the Mayor with Council confirmation for 6 year terms. This commission is responsible for the policies and control of the funds for the Community Development Block Grant Program.
BOARD OF REVIEW MENOMONIE HOUSING AUTHORITY
This board is responsible for viewing and certifying the assessment roll.  May hear appeals of property assessments and may order changes in assessments if evidence submitted shows assessor's valuation is wrong. This board is responsible for the construction and operation of federally-financed public housing.  This board is a separate entity from the City of Menomonie.  Please contact their office with questions.
BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS POLICE & FIRE COMMISSION
This board hears appeals on the enforcement of zoning ordinances, granting special permits for certain specified uses and variances from certain requirements of the ordinances. This commission is responsible for the recruitment and selection of candidates for the police and fire department positions.  Candidates are placed on an eligible list.
RECREATION ADVISORY BOARD TOURISM COMMISSION
This board is responsible for advising the City Council, Mayor, and Recreation Director on the performance and needs of the recreation programs. This board is responsible for the advising the City Council, Mayor, and Recreation Director on the performance and needs of the recreation programs.
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT  REVOLVING LOAN PARKING UTILITY COMMISSION
This committee works with new/ expanding business in need of gap financing. This commission is responsible for the  operation of the downtown parking system composed of street and lot meters and parking lots.
HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION PLAN COMMISSION
Any site or area of historic, architectural or cultural significant may be designated as a landmark, landmark site or historic District.  Once such designation has been made, the commission can regulate construction, reconstruction, exterior alteration and demolition within such locations.  This commission is responsible for the development of all plans and ordinances that affect community growth and development.  All matters of land use, improvements and capital expenditures must be in conformance with Commission plans and gain its approval before adoption by City Council.
URBAN FORESTRY MUNICIPAL LIBRARY BOARD
The Urban Forestry Board was established in 1994, and oversees the maintenance of the City tree canopy.  Members serve in an advisory capacity to the Plan Commission during the review of landscaping plans. The board is composed of seven city residents who are appointed by the Mayor with Council confirmation of r three year terms.  Dunn County may appoint a county resident(s) to the municipal library board based on the level of financial support provide by the County.  this board is responsible to protect and advance the interests of the broader community bay effectively governing the operations and promoting the development of the local public library.
