Invasive Species

Invasive species are species that are non-native to the local ecosystem.  They can be plants, animals, or pathogens that adversely affect and can inflict economic, environmental, and/or ecological damage.

In Wisconsin, invasive plants, animals and pests are negatively impacting our lakes, rivers and landscapes.  The Emerald Ash Borer and Eurasian Milfoil are two examples of invasive species in Wisconsin that are harming our trees and waterways.
